My work
Writing services
I’m a writing professional - primarily non-fiction - who has worked in not-for-profit and government roles writing a range of content, for decades. My focus is on accessibility and clarity.
I have non-fiction literary and other projects I am engaged in, and have presented works at the Melbourne Writers Festival and had pieces published in two literary anthologies.
Editing and training services
I have written and edited a wide range of content types, with a focus on reports, community legal information and policies, both online and for print.
My training has focused on plain language about legal issues, for lawyers and other professionals.
Facilitation, coaching and mediation services
I’m a trained and experienced facilitator of groups, coach of individuals, and a mediator and accredited family dispute resolution practitioner, with training in motivational interviewing and restorative practice.
My approach focuses on engagement and listening to understand, establishing goals, preparing for good outcomes, and being curious and flexible. This allows me to help people identify opportunities for change, to support them to move through any necessary transition.
Writing about loss and life
Writing About Loss is a community I set up to support other people who wished to write about their losses.
I have held workshops, a death cafe and set up a Facebook group through which I share relevant organisational resources and posts, and the occasional reflection of my own, as I work on my own memoir.
